Ive done a handful of runs since the doctor have me the ok. The 1.3 Mile Windmere loop and a coupla times Ive driven over to Colts Neck and done that 2 mile loop. Always with Shea who trots ahead of me and looks back from time to time like, what's taking you so long. Ive had no pain in the tendon thank God. My left calf is tight and out of shape which makes sense since it was virtually immobilized for almost 3 months. I can even see that its lost any definition compared to my right calf. That plus my cardio is what I need to build back up.
Kelly and I are doing this weight loss challenge all summer. Ive lost a few pounds. Some weeks I lose one or two. Some I gain one. Im not disciplined enough. I'll have a beer here, ice cream there. I'd just rather be clocking 40 miles a week and not worry about calorie intake.
